I bought a HP compque 615 about a month ago with windows 7 and was using comfortabley plugged -in. yesterday, due to power cut I used the machine until battery completely run down. Now it statrs and switches off within a few minutes. The only battery I have, does not charge at all. How ould I over come this situation? Anyone had similar experience?

pls I purchased a compaq 615, with s/n: CNU94715B6 p/n: VC284EA#ABU, product key HWXGV-PPD2B-RQM28-68P2C-9HP9K.

The system is not loading, pls give me a hint as to how I can get it working.
Am waiting to get any assistance you can give me.

I bought a compaq 615 and are running windows seven. this is a pleasure to use compared to xp and the laptop handles the programmes with ease. The hd screen is as clear as ever and dvd’s are extremely clear. I don’t know of anything to complain about. Great buy.Only the price in South Africa is around R6000.00

i bought compaq 615.but one problem discoverd.this problem not noly to my system,if i’m lookig movie with headset after some times headset sound disconnect and sound coming from laptop speaker. why like this?

my compaq 615 gives out too much heat from the vents on the left and i waana know if there is any user out there with a similar problem.unlike the 610 the 615 generates too much heat

My only concern on this model after having used it for 2 months now is that it gets pretty hot! My friends jokingly call it an oven. The proccessor also struggles when faced with some mediocre tasks like multiple file transfers which is disappointing regarding it’s proccessing prowess. I think i would have preffered an intel proccessor.

The sound is a bit poor. The keypad is excellent as well as the display, however the ports issue is really a big one.

I own a 615 and so does my father, when Listening to music from say a website like youtube and listening through the earphones, its all good – until you open another app like Skype or something – then sound only comes through the speakers?? the MS sounds still come through the earphones but you have to reboot to get any other sounds coming out of the earphones – Its REALLY ANNOYING and no boday has a clue why? or any solutions!! anyone who can help, let me know cheers.

i’ve been using compaq 615 for the past months im nt really content. the display has not been bad since, the keyboard is what really upsets me mostly.. when i press&hold akey esp when im typin, it doesnt repeat the character. it will kinda do tht for short while and in the next 3s it stops.moreover the LED of the Caps lock control key is not stable. the most dissapnt thing is the speaker. its just at on side n doesnt play any good sound..finally the processor overheats. compaq 615 is somthing else..
