One of the many responsibilities that an entrepreneur or a chief executive has includes conducting presentations of reports or business proposals to contemporaries, prospective partners or investors, or the stakeholders of the company.
If the presentations are done remotely, as is usually the case, a source of concern would be the equipment available on the designated conference venues – LCD projectors, white screen, a good sound system, etc. While the content and the manner of delivery of the presentation are crucial, the kind of equipment is also essential. At the heart of these tools is the computing hardware – the laptop.
HP had that person in mind when it created the HP Compaq series and specifically HP 6530b Compaq Laptop, which has excellent presentation-related features in both its software and hardware. There is a quick access button to the choice of presentation application, VGA and S-video outputs, 4 USB 2.0 ports, connectivity options via Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, modem and Ethernet jacks, and, it comes with a pre-installed genuine Windows Vista operating system.
The HP 6530b Compaq is not just about doing these presentations. It has all the features that you would generally expect from your desktop. This is a relatively light laptop that is sturdy enough to withstand the rigors of mobile computing. Among the features admirable about it are its processing speed, available upgrade bay, long battery life, data encryption suite, 3D DriveGuard technology to protect the hard drive and a quick access button to valuable info such as email contacts.

PROS
The HP 6530b Compaq is one user-friendly and business-savvy laptop. It has top of the line processing capabilities, its connectivity options are well covered, the keyboard is full-sized, and it has applications well suited for office use. The build quality is top notch and battery life is certainly long enough.
CONS
This is not quite a multimedia machine and the screen size leaves much to be desired.
CONCLUSION
PCWorld in its review says “The laptop has some speed where it counts, and doesn’t cost an exorbitant amount of money.” Ciao.co.uk says “it’s fast, stylish and very portable.” We say it has the features you would expect from higher priced models except that it does not cost as much. Two thumbs up from us for the HP 6530b.
