Pros

The primary reason to purchase the 8930G-7665 is its processing power. This laptop with an Intel Core Duo processor, the laptop makes short work of processing even heavier applications like Adobe Photoshop and many others. The fact that it is running Vista smoothly without glitches is already a testimonial to its processor’s remarkable capabilities.

 

The 8930G-7665 is also worth noting because of its capability to accommodate not just one hard drives, but two! This is a rarity among notebooks, and is very much welcome among users who like to download or archive important files. There is just enough space with its 500 Gigabyte pre-installed hard drive, and the possibility of adding more to that space is just great.

 

The 8930G-7665 also comes with a very powerful video graphics card. This card makes gaming a very enjoyable experience for any hard-core gamer up there.

 

Cons

One problem that can be encountered when using the 8930G-7765 is that its video card heats up rather rapidly. This is especially true when engaged in hardcore gaming where the laptop uses up a lot of its processing capabilities. It has been observed that this Acer Aspire model can only last for up to 15 minutes in less-demanding video games, and will surely heat up faster with newer, more complicated games. Because of that, the 8930G-7765 is not an ideal platform for gaming.

 

Conclusion

The 8930G-7665 is specifically engineered for a lot of uses that unfortunately excludes gaming because of the problem with video card heating. However, it doesn’t mean that this Aspire model is not a good buy. For its price, you can enjoy remarkable processing speeds from it that makes tasks like word processing, movie viewing, music playing, Internet browsing and other business applications smooth and fast.
