Lenovo finally released the much-awaited newborn of the ThinkPad family – the Lenovo ThinkPad T410s.  Powered by one of the next-generation processors – the Intel Core i5 — the Lenovo ThinkPad T410s promises to deliver outstanding performance. 

 

The ThinkPad T series is part of the Lenovo ThinkPad family that focuses on performance.  However, for a laptop to deliver the unexpected, it needs potent specs to power up.  

 

The Lenovo ThinkPad T410s is powered by Intel’s Core i5 notebook processor; with choices of Intel Core i5-529M 2.4 GHz or Intel Core i5-540M 2.53 GHz processor.  These processors are equipped with the Turbo Boost technology, which gives sudden acceleration to i5 processors when it is mostly needed.  Backing this top-of-the-line powerful processor is up 6 GB of DDR3 read access memory.  One may also load up to 8 GB of DDR4 RAM into this Lenovo ThinkPad T410s.  Either way, this processor/RAM combo assures its user of seamless performance even when opening very demanding programs. 

 

A feature of the Lenovo ThinkPad T410s is its switchable graphics.  One may alternate between an Intel integrated graphics chipset and a dedicated video card in Nvidia NVS3100m discrete graphics with 512 MB of VRAM.  This technology allows a user who needs to edit or render heavy graphics to switch modes from ordinary GPU into a boosted one.  The Nvidia NVS3100m graphics that is embedded into the Lenovo ThinkPad T410s could allow some heavy graphics need for editing movies or even playing games.  More hardcore games, however, may suffer quality if played on the Lenovo ThinkPad T410s.

 

The Lenovo ThinkPad T410s is loaded with up to 160 GB of disk space for the solid state drive option and up to 500 GB of space for the hard disk drive choice.  This amount of storage space is already sizable, considering that the Lenovo ThinkPad T410s is just a 14-incher.  And especially with the 500 GB HDD option, there should be no worries where to store up those large digital files including HD movies, music, games and very important documents.

Pros:

 

The Lenovo ThinkPad T410s is a very well thought out laptop.  It is very portable and is loaded with powerful components that are usually found on bigger laptops. 

 

It boasts of having an Intel Core i5 processor powering its operations as well as a vast army of RAM and a switchable dedicated graphics.

 

One of the best things about the Lenovo ThinkPad T410s is its staying power.  The Lenovo ThinkPad T410s could last up to 22 hours of usage if loaded with a nine-cell battery and around six hours with the six-cell battery.

 

Cons

 

The Lenovo ThinkPad T410s lacks enough VRAM to support hardcore games.  However, the Lenovo ThinkPad T410s is not made as a gaming laptop.

 

Conclusion

 

With high performance and portability scores, the Lenovo ThinkPad T410s sure sticks out like a nail among 14-inchers.  One might as well get a hammer and drive it in to your cache of useful machines.  The Lenovo ThinkPad T410s comes highly recommended despite its high price tag.
