We have the HP Compaq 615 and the battery is definitely a problem. The whole purpose of having this machine was so that when we have power cuts we can still access the internet etc without having to plug in but I find that the battery lasts a maximum of 10 minutes even when it shows as being fully charged!! Other than that I enjoy working on it… what solution is there because I have been told that it is more cost effective to buy a new notebook as opposed to a new battery pack as they cost a fortune here in South Africa.

i recently bought my 615 a month ago.the battery only worked for a week.it just switched off .wen i restarted it the battery only reaches 6% and displays charging

I got a HP 610 a week ago and it is an upgrade from a Compaq presario 6210 with Windows XP I used to have.
So far is good, works great but the only one speaker issue is annoying, I almost send it back until I noticed that it only had one speaker. The OS Window 7 Starter is also annoying, I need to upgrade it in order to use the full range of functions.
Is a good purchase but there are better out there for the price.

HP 610 laptop badhiya hai par HP india me bakwas aur bekar insano ke hath me hai,
maine 610 naya khareeda aur turant hi usme ek safed line screen par aane lagi jo aaj bhi aarahi hai,
koi sunvai hai nahi,
on line case banaye 6 mahine hogaye par koi fayda nahi,
ha ab consumer court bacha hai wo bhi ab dekh lete hai

I got a hp comoaq laptop. every thing is ok except the Speaker. only one Speaker is working and other is not working, and the output quality isn’t great.
